We’re collecting gently used sports equipment to support the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago! Help give kids the opportunity to play, grow, and stay active πŸ’™

Donations needed include: Soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, volleyballs, jerseys, cones, jump ropes, yoga mats, yard games & more!

Please join us on Tuesday, April 28 at 7pm for a Community Speaker Series in-person event at the Hinsdale Central High School auditorium. 
 
In his latest book, Dream School, New York Times bestselling author Jeffrey Selingo helps families reimagine the college search process. Drawing on extensive research and insights from thousands of parents, he encourages students and families to broaden their view of what makes a school truly great—emphasizing career readiness, hands-on learning, and a strong sense of community. Jeffrey Selingo is the author of three other books, including Who Gets In and Why and There Is Life After College. He is a regular contributor to The Atlantic, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, and co-hosts the popular higher education podcast, Future U.

Time/Date: The Spring Oak School Book Fair begins Tuesday, May 5 at 9am and wraps up on Wednesday, May 6, at 2pm.

3 Ways Parents and Students can buy books
1) Students can bring money with them on their class's designated book fair day. 
Note: Parents can ask teachers for the day/time that each class will visit the book fair in the library OR parents can view the sign up genius for specific class visit dates/times. Preschoolers can shop with parents or an "adult sidekick" at their designated times, too. 
2) Parents and students can stop in after school on Tuesday to browse. Note that this fair coincides with the choir concert on Tuesday afternoon, so that is a great opportunity to stop in after school!

We hope to see you at the District Celebration Evening on Monday, May 4, in the HMS gym. We will be celebrating 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Jessica Brady, and her recent honor by the Illinois State Board of Education as well as, our retirees, including Dr. Garcia. He would love to see everyone there, even just for the reception preceding the main event.
