Oak + Elm Families at Feed My Starving Children Volunteer Event this past weekend

140 volunteers attended the Oak + Elm event at Feed My Starving Children in Aurora this past Saturday. Pictured above are students, teachers, Oak Principal Effey Nassis and Elm Principal Sara Olson. Homework Helpers - with High School Volunteers

Looking for someone to help your kids with math or reading or just to sit with them while they work on homework? Getting help from high school students is FUN! Kids in grades K-5 can drop in during the Hinsdale Public Library's Homework Helper sessions every THURSDAY 4-6 p.m. to receive help from trained high school volunteers! Students will earn prizes each time they attend. Hosted by the HPL Junior Advisory Board.

The HMS Jazz Ensemble is organizing a Home Run Inn Take N' Bake fundraiser for travel expenses to New Orleans in January 2026! HMS is the only middle school jazz ensemble selected to be performing as a featured performer at this conference. If you enjoy Home Run Inn at Lunch-In, click HERE to order!
